I am an Oklahoma Sooner. My home is in the northeastern corner of the state on 2 1/2 acres with horses, a free spirited golden retriever and a small garden.

Over the years my cooking style has changed to accomodate work and family. Gone are the days of hours in the kitchen. Deserts are for weekends or special events or gifts. While on occassion I can turn out a feast, for every day my cooking style can be at best called rustic and simple. My focus is on food which can be quickly prepared, doesn’t wreck the budget, and can be placed in the oven or simmered on the stove while you relax after a long day.

Lee is my neice. She is just starting cooking. The recipies that she cooks with supervision are age appropriate and things she can and likes to make.
