Basil Pesto with Walnuts
In the heat of July the basil has loved it! A friend came and we made a ton of this using her sister's recipe. We froze it in sheets in gallon freezer bags for future use! A little summer all year long.
Equipment
- 1 food processor
Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil extra virgin
- 4 cups basil leaves
- 1 cup parmesan cheese shredded
- 4 cloves garlic
- 6 peppercorns
- ½ teas salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts.
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in bowl of food processor. Process until smooth, check and if too thick add more oil. Taste and add more garlic nuts and cheese if needed and to you taste.
