My Vegetable Garden 2024

I live in zone 7 but in Oklahoma we have a spring which can suddenly end with 90 degree days as heat waves come through. This is a problem as that will eliminate greens. Strangely enough I do well with broccoli and snow peas.

Basil does very well. Tomatoes need a nighttime temperature of 74 and below to set fruit and some years this just isn’t going to happen here. This year we had early heat, my first ripe tomato was June 17th! My firs lettuce was not great but my basil was and so was my first BLT of the season
